Upon the train I fell to haste,
So tempted me and took embrace,
Could I not love you one more way?
The next day then you fell away,
I'd betrayed us all,
But never had you warned me
And then you went and threw away,
The will to wait for that sunny day,
Still i've had to keep that smile,
Waiting for you all the while,
And I was but the haunter
No love lost then,
No love lost now,
A smile still creased upon my brow,
But faded and changed upon my lips,
The flesh that burned for that kiss,
I still burn though the flesh does not
No, you never forgave what I did to you,
I wonder now, can I forgive you?
You fade from me and my good graces,
Though still remain upon my sight,
Now I am but the haunted
